Timothee Chalamet has revealed the sage piece of advice Academy Award-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio shared with him as he emerged into the spotlight.
While Chalamet is one of Hollywood’s sought-after actors, it seems odd to think it was only four years ago when a fresh-faced Timmy was first introduced to the mainstream media with his critically acclaimed movie Call Me By Your Name.
As he was familiarising himself with the world of red carpets and awards shows, he was also rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous, which included none other than Leonardo DiCaprio.

Like Chalamet, DiCaprio, at a young age, acquired a similar type of whirlwind fame, as he was only 23-year-old when Titanic took the world by storm.
So it’s not surprising that the veteran actor passed on some pearls of wisdom to the youngin.
While sitting down with Vogue, Chalamet told the outlet that when he met The Wolf of the Wall Street actor in 2018, he advised him: “No hard drugs and no superhero movies.”

Despite Chalamet not appearing in a superhero flick, the 26-year-old actor starred in the franchise movie Dune, which was one of the most successful science fiction films to come out of 2021.
The film earned $41 million (AUD $61m or £35m) on opening weekend in the US and Canada alone, with a grand total of over USD$400 million (AUD $ 596m or £329 m).
The sci-fi hit was nominated for 11 Academy Awards and took home six trophies, including Best Cinematography, Best Original Score and Best Visual Effects.

Warner Bros. confirmed that a sequel is currently in production, with principal photography taking place in Budapest, Abu Dhabi, Jordan and Italy.
Aside from Chalamet, the sequel will also see some new additions to the cast, including Florence Pugh, Lea Seydoux, Christopher Walken, Austin Butler and Souheila Yacoub.
Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling, Stellan Skarsgård, Javier Bardem and Stephen McKinley Henderson will also be reprising their roles, and honestly, we can’t wait.
Dune 2 is set to be theatrically released November 17, 2023.
