Tom Hanks photobombed wedding photos in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania this weekend, leaving the photographer unsurprised about his ‘kind’ demeanour.
The 65-year-old actor, who’s currently in the state on the set of the movie adaptation of A Man Called Ove, greeted the bride, Grace Gwaltney, to ask if he could join in with her wedding photos alongside his wife, Rita Wilson.
The photographer, Rachel Rowland, told Newsweek of the no-doubt exciting ordeal: “When it first happened we were all confused and it didn’t click for a second. Most of us stared quietly for a second. Then we all erupted in screams.

“You always have all of these plans and ideas for when you meet a celebrity and then when you do – especially national treasure Tom Hanks – you really become mush.”
She added: “He was exactly as you would assume him to be: joyful, funny, loud and kind.”
The bride, Gwaltney, also spoke to WTAE-TV Pittsburgh about the ‘crazy’ experience and explained that she ‘immediately froze’ and didn’t know what to do with herself when he approached her.

The blushing bride said: “He was talking in my ear, and I was thinking of Toy Story.”
Not only did the Oscar-award-winner pose for photos alongside the wedding party, but he was also said to be making sure everyone was visible in the photos.
This isn’t the first wedding crash that the actor has had, however. In 2016, Hanks took to Twitter to share wedding photos he photobombed with a bride and groom in Central Park, New York.
More recently, in 2021, Hank took photos with two brides on their special day in Santa Monica, California.
