The boss who gives her employees a 30-minute masturbation break has offered a behind-the-scenes look at her erotic film studio.
Erika Lust is the head of XConfessions, an adult movie company that features 'crowd-sourced erotic short stories'.
In a video posted to her Instagram account, the director said her ambition was to make the most authentic porn possible, which she feels isn't represented in the mainstream.
She said: "It all started in 2004 when I made my first short film, it was called The Good Girl.
"In a very short period of time it had over two million downloads, and emails were pouring in and people were writing to me, and they were saying, 'Hey Erika, we love your film, when are you gonna make more? Please, make more.'
"And I think that was the moment when I actually started to see the possibility of people wanting something else and wanting something different.
"XConfessions is kind of my, my baby, it's my passion project.
"It's a project that started in 2013 and basically it started because I was travelling around with my earlier films, to film festivals, meeting people and every time people came up to me and they wanted to share their stories.
"So I realised that ordinary people had lots and lots of sex stories to tell that were dramatically different from the stereotypes of online porn that I had watched before.
"And I saw the opportunity to create online a community for people to send in their confessions."
Erika added: "Sometimes people ask me, 'How do you pick the confessions?' and, to be honest, it's completely subjective - whatever makes me go, 'Wow, I love this one.'
"I get an idea and it feels like, 'Yes, this is the film I want to make.'
The filmmaker decided to offer the break after noticing her staff were 'agitated' and 'performing with less energy' during the pandemic.
She launched the initiative to coincide with Masturbation Month, which takes place in May, but plans to allow staff to make the most of the extra 30-minute break for the rest of the year.
Erika said: "I value my employees and I know that when they feel good, we do good work.
"With the pandemic and the huge shift in how we live our lives, I began to notice that my employees had become somewhat agitated and were performing with less energy than before.
"So, knowing that there's only one thing that will make everyone feel good, I've set up a private masturbation station for them to enjoy."
And her employees are happy with the new rules - with one claiming it helps to relieve stress.
Cat, who is head of communications and content at the company, said: "A masturbation break at work can result in more focus from your employees, less aggression, more productivity and better team work."
