It turned out that Aiden's mum, Elizabeth Crooks, 26, suffered an episode of postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), which caused her heart rate to spike to almost 180 BPM, causing her to faint.

Elizabeth was unconscious for almost 20 minutes prior to the arrival of the deliver driver, who came to her aid after Aiden alerted him.

Speaking to BelfastLive after the incident, Elizabeth said: "It was such a shock to the system. When I came round, all I could see was the high-visibility vest so I automatically thought it was the paramedics to be honest."

She also revealed that her son had wrapped her in a blanket and got her a bucket in case she needed to throw up.

"Obviously I had said 'mummy doesn’t feel well', so he must have thought that meant I was going to be sick," she explained.

"I was so proud of Aidan – even saying 'she’s fainted', I don’t know if I’ve ever used that term. Now, he did break down crying in the ambulance, God bless him."

After being taken to hospital, doctors believed that she had a bad episode of POTS.

The clip of Aiden saving his mum has done the rounds on social media, with many users commenting on the delivery driver's kindness to let Aiden speak, while also praising the quick-thinking of the six-year-old.

Bryan, the delivery driver, replied to one of the clips, saying: "That was me the delivery driver. I’m glad she is okay and she should be very proud of her kids and for all wondering, I still have my job. Amazon was cool with it."

One TikTok user commented: "You should be proud of your kids"

Another said: "You can see the urgency in the delivery driver’s actions! Not all heroes wear capes, some wear hi vis"

Elizabeth has since reached out to the driver for his actions, as she later said: "Hopefully, it can remind other parents the importance of teaching them what to do."

A GoFundMe has since been set up for Bryan to reward his good deed, which has raised £380 at the time of writing.
