A person dressed in a catsuit has been prowling around and scaring locals just two years after a similar gimped-up man was arrested for the same thing.

Oh, that's right, it’s another man wearing a gimp suit, but this time he’s dressed like a cat.

While I don’t know about you, but I typically spend my evenings glued to the sofa, not struggling into a stretchy onesie and meowing at scared dog walkers…but that’s just me.

Anyway, I don’t think anyone had 'Masked Gimp Man returns' on their 2025 bingo card, but it still happened.

A masked man in a snug bodysuit has decided to terrorise the people of Merseyside after a local Facebook group began to report encounters with him.

Now, this isn’t the first, second or third time a person has encountered a gimp, and it seems like this new offender is hell-bent on putting people off cats for life.

In recent years, there have been a number of sightings in quiet villages of a masked man dressed in a gimp suit.

Namely, there was the ‘Somerset gimp’ who terrified locals in Bleadon, near Weston-super-Mare, from 2022 to 2023.

According to the Daily Star, Inspector Adam O’Loughlin said about the ordeal: "I can completely understand why seeing a man dressed that way would cause people to be extremely distressed.

"It is really important that people understand that this chap, in this particular incident in question, hasn't caused any harm to anyone or indicated he's going to."

He would walk up to people wearing a scary latex suit, with his mask donning red X's on his eyes and mouth area, with many claiming that he scared the absolute s*** out of them.

In the end, Joshua Hunt, 32, was banned for five years from wearing masks after dressing in all-in-one black outfits at night and ‘crawling, wriggling or writhing on the ground’.

Anyway, this new gimp has been spotted at Harvester Derby Pool Wallasey - and locals are bricking it.

A video captured on camera shows him meowing and writhing on the ground near Wallasey Beach, right under a fence near a Harvester pub.

Another video shows people in a car screaming as he comes close to them, but he doesn't do anything other than wave his body around.

One woman who had the unfortunate time of meeting him posted on the Crimewatch Wirral Facebook group: “Anyone know who the freak in the cat mask and morph suit is at the coastal park near the harvester?

“Was walking my dog tonight and heard a man making cat noises, shone a torch he was waving his arms at me before crawling up the hill! Never been so scared!”

Another said that he was waving a torch around when she encountered him, but she wasn’t frightened: “I didn’t feel scared really, he was just waving his arms and making panther noises. I felt more confused than scared.”

However, not everyone was scared, as some found it funny, with one writing: “I went through a stage of doing this year’s ago but I’ve now got through it, don’t ask MEOW!”

Another joked: “Hi, this is my cat. He isn’t chipped and is quite skittish, we’ve been missing him for a few days so please don’t approach again. We’re hoping he comes back home soon, my wife’s boyfriend is worried sick.”

Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner Emily Spurrell said that she hopes anyone who sees him will report the incident to police.

Stay safe out there, people. There's a mad cat on the loose.
