A little boy's big brother ran into flames to save him from a house fire, which allowed the youngster to see his mother one last time.

When the fire broke out, David Mason, 19, who has ADHD and autism, was awake playing games and woke his parents up before dialling 999.
He later ran back into the burning house to save his four-year-old brother Ethan, who was entrapped in the flames.
Following the tragedy, father Barry, 45, passed away, while Ethan died two days later in hospital, having had 70 percent of his body burned.

The boy's aunt, Jessica called the 19-year-old a hero, and the reason that his mother Rachel and three other siblings are still alive today.
She posted an emotional tribute on Facebook about the course of events, revealing how heroic David was that morning.
"He struggles massively on the phone, however, he managed to give his address and names and ages of everyone in the house," she wrote.
"However, by the time he had done this, the flames had reached his bedroom door and he had no option but to jump out of his window, breaking his back from the fall."

She further explained in the social media post that he'd landed by the back door as his father was trying to crawl his way out of the burning kitchen with his four-year-old son, and without thinking twice, David reached in and saved his little brother despite his broken back.
He seriously burned himself in the process, but managed to roll his brother onto the grass so they could put the flames.
The post further read: "He then carried Ethan to the front and placed him in his mother's arms allowing her the last chance to hold him and look into his eyes.

"Because of David's brave actions, before Ethan lost consciousness the last thing he saw and felt was his mummy's comfort. The last thing his daddy saw before he passed away was Ethan being rescued by his big brother.
"David is a hero like his daddy and without him nobody would have survived," she said.
Following his heroic act, he suffered severe burns to his arm and has been recovering in hospital.
Greater Manchester Police carried out an investigation and said they believe there was no foul play in the incident.
