The wife of a British hiker who vanished without a trace on a Greek island two years ago is still unable to access his money.
Back in June 2021, 69-year-old David Wolstenhulme was on holiday on the Greek island of Serifos with his wife of more than 40 years, Heide.
One day, he decided to go for a solo hike while the rest of their group opted to do something else.

The experienced walker, from Skipton, headed out wearing a blue backpack, blue shorts and a walk top.
However, there hasn’t been any sign of him since.
Heide had every confidence she’d just see him later on in the day but now, two years on, she's yet to reunite with her husband and remains clueless over what happened to him.

Despite a large-scale rescue operation to find David, there hasn’t been any evidence pointing at what happened to him.
The Brit had left with ‘just enough euros for the day’ and was without his passport.
“Dave doesn't like sitting on the beach much, he likes to go walking - his other friends didn't want to go with him because it was too hot but it never really bothered Dave,” Heide explained to The Sun.
"I really can’t imagine what happened to him, it’s just unreal really. It's unbelievable he just vanished. I still need some answers, I want to know what happened."

David has not been declared dead and is still considered a missing person – even though it was two years ago that he was last seen.
So because of this, as well as missing her husband, Heide is having financial problems.
As she doesn’t have a death certificate, she can’t access David’s pension account and is currently waiting for a court hearing to be able to solve it.

"I would just like to appeal to the authorities to have another search concentrating on the area where his phone was last in signal," she said to the newspaper.
“And to put out an appeal to the locals reminding them that he is still out there somewhere and if anyone is out hiking in the hills to keep an eye open especially if they see a Blue Tilley hat or anything bright blue on the ground."
Heide also said: “I’d love for him to be alive I just can't imagine that he is because he had nowhere to go.
"He wasn't going to be able to go anywhere really because there were still Covid restrictions and didn't have anything with him, not his passport.

She then added: "I really can’t imagine what happened to him, it’s just unreal really. It's unbelievable he just vanished. I still need some answers, I want to know what happened."
