While it is not a profession many would dream of going into, the car junkies amongst us would certainly love to be paid to drive around in their whip all day long.
And unless you are a racing driver, that can be pretty difficult. However, one way of doing it is by being an Uber driver.

But while we know how much we are paying for an Uber at the end of a drunken night out, we don't particularly know the inner workings of how much of that cash lands in Uber drivers' pockets.
Well, thanks to a handy guide on the Uber website, those who wish to become Uber drivers can work out roughly how much they would make.
If you are just a bog-standard driver, then your first part of earnings is calculated through a 'standard trip payment', which is the money driver's receive for every completed trip.

But one way an Uber driver can earn a little extra money is through 'Surge', a heat map drivers can use to see where they are in high demand.
You know when you boot up the app and that typical trip you take is two times the price? Well, those are essentially 'Surge' areas.
In these cases, prices are inflated to help those who need a ride get one, according to Uber.
You will often see such increases during bad weather, rush hour and special events.

The third way the firm says you can make more money as a driver is through the minimum trip earnings available throughout every city.
Uber says: "this makes sure your earnings reflect the effort you put in, even on short trips."
In a statement provided to LADbible, Uber confirmed drivers earn typically upwards of £30 per hour in the UK, something that has been verified by the GMB union.

A spokesperson for Uber told LADbible last year: "Uber drivers in the U.K. are guaranteed to earn at least the National Living Wage, but 99 percent of them can and do earn more. In Q1 2022 drivers earned on average £29.72 per hour, but it varies depending on where and when they drive.
"Drivers are also entitled to holiday pay and a pension, which has helped us sign up more than 10,000 new drivers in recent months."
Others have shared how much they earn from Uber, with YouTuber Driver Matty detailing his earnings in a video uploaded last year.
"So I've been online for 25 hours and I've earned £500," the driver said.

"So really, it's 500 quid over the four days, which is not too bad."
He added: "So I average, this week, so far, £20 per hour. So that is not too shabby."
