Jay Slater's family friend has vowed his family will keep looking for him after Tenerife police announced that they have ended the search for the missing Brit.
Slater, 19, had been visiting the Spanish Island to attend the New Rave Generation festival when he disappeared after a night out last month.
He was last heard from at around 8am on 17 June after telling others he was in the middle of nowhere and needed water.

His friend Lucy, who was with him on the trip, told police Slater told her his phone battery was on one percent and that he 'didn't know where he was.'
His phone then died, with his last location shown as being Rural de Teno Park - or the National Park of Teno – in the north west of Tenerife.
Nobody has heard from the British teen since.

Since he went missing there has been a significant search effort made to find Slater.
Earlier this week the Civil Guard appealed for volunteers for a 'massive search' to be held on 29 June.
They were hoping for firefighters and experts in difficult terrain to respond.
However, the BBC reported that 'fewer than a dozen volunteers turned up' and that for this 'massive search' there were 'more journalists than rescue workers'.

Yesterday (30 June), Tenerife police announced that they had ended the search for missing the missing 19-year-old.
A Tenerife Civil Guard spokesperson told the BBC: "The search operation is over. Yesterday was the final day of the search."
That being said, the case into his disappearance remains open, with a spokesperson for the Guardia Civil saying: "There are several lines of investigation."

Despite the official search for Jay Slater being over, the teen's family have vowed to keep looking for him.
Speaking to the BBC, Rachel Hargreaves – the mother of his best friend Brad Hargreaves – said: "We're just carrying on searching ourselves."
She said that they were continuing to liaise with mountaineer Paul Arnott, who had been searching near Masca for the past week.
"We're looking for whoever we can find with mountain rescue experience and will carry on searching the area," Hargreaves added.

Members of Slater's family, including his mum Debbie Duncan, remain in Tenerife.
She recently said that she would be withdrawing a portion of funds from a GoFundMe to 'support the mountain rescue teams who are tirelessly searching for Jay.'
“Additionally, since our stay in Tenerife needs to be extended, we will also use the funds to cover accommodation and food expenses," she said.
"I'm surrounded by wonderful people who are by my side, but far from their loved ones, so we'll also be using part of these funds to fly them to Tenerife so we can support each other during these dark times."
