Fit and healthy man who ran 10k most days says 'life is barely worth living' after Covid jab left him in constant pain

The Omagh man says he has suffered from health issues after taking the Pfizer Covid booster jab

A man who was previously fit and healthy has claimed his life took a turn for the worse after having the Covid-19 jab.

Larry Lowe, then 54, was considered healthy and didn't get sick often, even running 10km most days.

However after taking the Pfizer Covid booster jab, his health began to suffer, beginning with some numbness in the side of his face, which he didn't understand at first.

Pfizer says that patient safety is its top priority, taking reports of unpleasant reactions seriously, as it explained that millions of jabs were given out worldwide and that 'the benefit-risk profile of the vaccine remains positive for all authorised indications and age groups.'

Larry, from Omagh in Northern Ireland, was never against the vaccine, but his symptoms since taking it have become more serious as doctors around the UK are pointing towards the jab as being the cause.

"I had lost all the feeling in my face, teeth, nose, tongue, eye, that whole side of my head," he told the BBC.

Northern Ireland's Public Health Agency (PHA) explained that the benefits of vaccines in stopping serious cases and complications of Covid-19 still outweighed any known side effects in patients.

Larry explained after being referred to a hospital in London, the jab 'was being recognised by my body as a toxin and that was the cause of my problems.'

He had a breakdown after finding this out, as the vaccine allegedly destroyed the nerve on the right side of his face, which he was unlikely to recover from, according to experts.

Guy's and St Thomas' Trust, where Larry went for his consultation, confirmed last May that 'our multidisciplinary team were in agreement that the onset of symptoms could be attributed to the Covid vaccine booster'.

In April this year, he was diagnosed by a consultant neurologist with a 'painful trigeminal neuropathy', again clarifying that it had 'the Covid vaccine as its main causative factor'.

Larry also developed a small fibre sensory neuropathy, again attributed to post-vaccine effects.

Larry said 'it's destroyed' him, as his health continues to worsen is now having to wear sunglasses inside due to his sensitivity to light, while also suffering from dry eye syndrome.

Speaking about how bad his pain is, he revealed: "I feel as if there is a clamp on both sides of my head, squeezing it all the time.

"I've been told that my condition is progressive. It is going to get worse.

"I didn't ask for this," he claimed.

"I'm in so much pain, my life is barely worth living, except for my family."

Claiming that he doesn't feel like himself anymore, with his rock band and songwriting days behind him, he has called his old life 'a memory', explaining he's had to medically retire.

Comparing his pain to a normal injury, he said: "Once you break your leg, it starts to get better.

"My pain is getting worse every day."

Lowe did heap praise on medical professionals he had met along the way that 'tried everything'.

He said he needs 'medical and psychological help', adding that he wants the stigma to be taken out of Covid vaccine injuries. Lowe is now no longer allowed to take any more vaccines.

Professor of European public health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Martin McKee, said vaccines had been 'absolutely essential' in allowing the us to move on from the global pandemic.

"Once the vaccines became available then the death rate fell markedly," he added.

McKee went on to explain that all vaccines come with a risk of side effects, and that reactions like Larry's were 'exceedingly rare'.
