A 15-year-old British girl has been left in a critical condition after a paraglider landed on-top of her while on holiday.
Lily Nichol was enjoying a sun-soaked holiday to a resort in Oludeniz, Turkey with her mum and older sister when she was tragically hit by paraglider - leaving her in intensive care with hospital bills costing in the tens of thousands.
Recounting the events in a GoFundMe post set up to pay for the teenager's growing medical costs, her mum Lyndsey Logan, 39, wrote: "We decided to go out for nice family meal before we were due to be picked up at 7.30 for our flight back to Newcastle.

"On this day at around 1pm as we were eating our food a tragic accident occurred involving my daughter Lily, age 15, she was wiped clean out by a man paragliding."
She added: "Our lives have been ripped apart our little girls lying in Turkey."
Lyndsey went on to explain how the paraglider 'came out of nowhere' and slammed Lily into the table while she was eating her lunch, causing the teenager to suffer extensive injuries to het head, neck and back.

"She face-planted the table and we tried to get her up. Obviously she was unconscious and she had a stroke while she was down. I thought she was dead," Lyndsey recalled in an interview with The Sun.
Lily was then taken to a local hospital where she received stitches to her on her eye chin and tongue - leading to a bill of £7200, which the family have already paid.
Lyndsey also explained that she hadn't been aware of the fact that their holiday hadn't included travel insurance for the family, which means that she is now expected to pay all of Lily's medical bills in Turkey.

However the mum would be hit with even more devastating news a day later, when doctors informed Lyndsey that Lily would need additional surgery on her jaw and back, which is said to cost the family around £45k.
"There's no one else I can ask for help. They’re expecting us just to make a decision by tomorrow to carry on with the operation. I was like, that is money I don’t have," she added.
“There’s no one who can give us that kind of money.”
Lyndsey has since created a GoFundMe page with the hope of raising enough funds to cover Lily's treatment. The page has reached just over £22k at the time of writing, which is close to half of the target.
