New Banksy appears in London for ninth straight day and people think it's final piece of the jigsaw

This is Banksy's ninth artwork in nine days in London

Banksy is on a mad one at the moment after his ninth piece of art in nine days has popped up in London.

The anonymously famous street artist - known for his provocative and often political graffiti - has been sharing his new artwork on social media and people think they've finally worked it out.

Since 5 August, the spray-paint master has been posting animal artwork to his Instagram account at around 1pm every day.

Banksy's latest piece is located on a shutter at London Zoo and it shows a gorilla lifting up a sheet to set free a number of birds.

Fans are speculating that this could be Banky's final drawing as it ties in with his eight other pieces scattered around the capital.

Taking to the comments, one person wrote: "Pretty sure this is piecing them together.

"The other animals have been let out from the zoo too."

"People are about to steal the London Zoo entrance," a second joked.

As a third penned: "Banksy is trying to get the world to wake up!!"

8) Rhino mounting car - 12 August

This piece of art was defaced by a man wearing a black balaclava just hours after it went up.

Located in Charlton’s Westmoor Street, it appears to show a rhino mounting a silver Nissan Micra, as you do.

As a crowd gathered while it was being defaced, people were heard saying 'don’t do that' and 'why did you do that? Why did you do it?'.

7) Piranhas on a police sentry box - 11 August

Sunday’s piece, which showed piranhas on a police sentry box, has now been removed from near London’s Old Bailey.

A spokesperson for the authority said: “We have moved the artwork to Guildhall Yard to ensure it is properly protected and open for the public to view safely.

“A permanent home for the piece will be decided in due course.”

6) A stretching cat - 10 August

This drawing was also removed from its location in north-west London hours after it was unveiled on Saturday.

The fish and chip shop that had announced it would be closing for a period in July said: “The last few days have been a whirlwind, thank you to all who have sent such kind words, comments and messages.

“We’re so sorry if we haven’t replied, as you can imagine it’s been extremely overwhelming!

“We’re over the moon that Banksy decided to choose our little fish and chip shop in wonderful Walthamstow and love the design.

“Contrary to some beliefs, we didn’t ask him to do this, but are very grateful he did!”

4) A wolf howling into the night sky - 8 August

This photo of a howling wolf on a satellite dish was taken off the roof of a building in Peckham, south London, less than an hour after it was unveiled.

The third was sprayed onto the bottom of a bridge that the tube passes over, consisting of three monkeys dangling.

People were quick to see a deeper meaning, whilst one person admitted: "I just see animals."

2) Elephants in the window - 6 August

His second piece was two elephants hanging out of two windows, with their trunks meeting in the middle.

One user suggested that is was a brilliant depiction of 'walking by' and ignoring the 'elephant in the room'.

1) A goat on the wall - 5 August

The first animal he created was a goat standing on a narrow ledge against a wall.

The artwork is, as always, genius to look at, having designed it to look like the goat is verging on the edge of a fall.

One person in the comments joked: "Banksy is officially the GOAT."
