Nigel Farage has just had the worst start to his eighth attempt to be elected as an MP.
Despite having a huge impact on British politics (thanks Brexit) and spending time schmoozing with former US president Donald Trump you'd be surprised to learn that Farage has never been successful at getting in politics.
Clearly not one for quitting, the controversial politician decided to announce that he would be Reform UK's candidate for the Clacton constituency in the upcoming general election, just days after claiming be wouldn't run for office.

Therefore, the 60-year-old's sudden u-turn was met with the usual media circus - but this one didn't end in Farage's favour.
During a speech to reporters outside the Moon and Starfish pub in Clacton, Essex, Farage was greeted by a milkshake flying towards his face, becoming an even bigger meme than Rishi Sunak getting soaked in the rain outside Number 10. Unlucky.

Farage was later seen coated in the yellow drink as he boarded his campaign bus, no doubt to grab a wet wipe and a change of clothes.
Social media users were quick to react to the incident, with the words 'milkshake' and 'Farage' swiftly going viral on X.
"I can’t believe how much this has improved my mood," one person wrote, while another added: "Oh we are so back."

"Ok, maybe it is great that he's always followed by packs of journalists," a third person added.
This isn't the first time Farage has suffered milkshake misery, with the former MEP having the drink launched at him in 2019 while campaigning in Newcastle. And who could forget the time a man dressed as Jesus followed him around during 2014.
Not much is known about the identity of the mystery milkshake thrower - who only gave her name as Victoria when approached by journalists - however it would look like the attack wasn't pre-planned, as she told the BBC that she simply "felt like it."
LADBible has contacted Farage's representatives for comment.

With a month still to go until voters can heard to the polls its beginning to look like July 2024 could go down as another classic in British election history.
From the horrible nicknames such as 'Genny Lex' to the announcement being drowned out by D.Ream's 'Things Can Only Get Better' as Sunak attempted to tell voters the safety of the country was at stake, it's hard to believe we're just two weeks in.
Now who said politics was boring.
