Locals furious as thousands of swingers head to village for 'Britain's biggest sex festival'

Folks in Allington, Lincolnshire, are scared of being woken up to 'screaming and moaning'

Imagine waking up, pouring yourself a steamy cup of coffee and looking out the window to see what looks like sheep huddled around… then you put your glasses on and it’s actually a group of swingers.

That’s what one tiny village is fearing will happen and more after the news that a four-day sex and fetish event is stationed in their area.

This Lincolnshire location is bracing itself for sleepless nights as the biggest swingers' festival sees a thousand people coming along to let loose.

Aerial shots of above the set-up showed a thousand people have travelled to the event, and Allington is worried its residents will be kept awake by ‘moaning’.

Swingathon has previously come under fire after residents called the police over 'screaming and moaning' coming from the site during the evening.

This year may not be the exception as it features 'play tents', foam parties, pole dancing, hot tubs, mobile dungeons and even a round or two of butt-plug bingo.

This year Swingathon will be accompanied by another festival at the location called FetFest, aimed at people with fetishes and including BDSM, sex toy stalls and whip throwing areas.

The outlet shared that one anonymous resident said: “I heard about the noise complaints previously and it’s not the sounds you want to hear when you're trying to sleep.

“It all seems a bit seedy if I'm honest, not my cup of tea. Each to their own I suppose but we don't really want or need it in the village.”

But that was probably the nicest comment as social media was teeming with people making quips about it and if it'll offer a Pay Per View option.

However, for up to £265 a ticket which allows couples to use the showers and electric, it’s a pretty steep deal.

With the event just getting bigger each time, it doesn’t look like it’ll be going somewhere else anytime soon.

Even with objections to the festival being raised last year by the South Kesteven District Council licensing committee and Lincolnshire Police, it still went ahead and at the time of writing, it’s one day in already.

The event organisers even claimed that the local authority was more willing to work with them, granting them a temporary events notice to hold the festival.

According to the outlet, co-organiser Matthew Cole said: “It's nice to have their support this year.

“Last year we had to go through a headache from start to finish, but this year is totally different and they are working so much better with us.

“They are giving us advice on how we can do better, so to have them more on board this year is great.

“I think they have realised we are not going anywhere. We have put a lot of work into the event and a lot of time into it.

“We have sold more tickets than ever and having the council on side as well, it could not be going any better than I wanted.”

Organiser Kerry Voellner added: “The event offers a very social and safe space for people from different lifestyles to meet new people.

“This year it's bigger, better and bolder. There will be fire breathers, pole dancers, acrobats and much more.

“We have a huge LGBT space and we do a lot of workshops. There is a whole holistic offering.

Advert

“There are two festivals this year. They are separate but on the same day.

“We realised quite quickly there was a bigger demographic and there are a lot of people into other alternative lifestyles.

“FetFest is for modern people who are into fetishes. We are just a normal festival for people with alternative lifestyles.”
