CCTV footage revealed that he had left his wife, Dr Clare Bailey Mosley, and their friends at a grey-stoned house near the harbour on Agios Nikolaos beach.
The health expert's body was found in an area beside Agia Marina beach, surrounded by rocky terrain, on 9 June - with his wife later confirming it was him.
Police arrived 20 minutes after the body was discovered, with firefighters taking him away shortly after - with police spokesperson Konstantia Dimoglidou then determining Dr Mosley's time of death to be around 4pm on Wednesday (5 June), less than three hours after he was last seen.

No injuries were found in the initial post-mortem, leading to the conclusion that the TV doctor passed away due to natural causes.
And now, the police commander for Symi, Dimos Kotsidaras, believes that he had most likely died of 'heat exhaustion'.
"It looks like cause of death was heat exhaustion after walking in high temperatures from St Nicholas to Agia Marina," he told The Daily Mail.
Dr Mosley's wife showed her gratitude to the local officials, the press and the public for their heartfelt words and help during the process, calling her husband an 'adventurous man' in an emotional statement.

She concluded by saying: "I feel so lucky to have our children and my amazing friends. Most of all, I feel so lucky to have had this life with Michael,
"Thank you all."
It was found that he was sitting on a mountain slope shortly before losing consciousness, mere yards away from getting help, according to a coroner.

According to Rhodes coroner, Despina Nethena, the condition of the body has made it impossible to determine a certain cause of death so far, with further testing required before an exact cause is decided upon, as per The Daily Express.
Temperatures on the Greek island of Symi when he went missing were upwards of 40C.
Agia Marina, which is the beach resort where the body was found, is also said to be one of the hottest areas in the region.
Symi mayor Lefteris Papakaloudoukas added that residents of the island were in 'complete shock': "Everyone wanted to find him alive.
