Look, as much as some of us might like to think we’re all sunshine and rainbows and got nothing to worry about, it’s not exactly the case.
With conflicts currently in swing in other parts of the globe, there’s that long-looming fear of nuclear attack that rumbles under the surface for many.
Russia has even been so bold recently to warn Europe of ‘unpredictable consequences’ for supporting Ukraine, with three locations in the UK listed among targets.
And when it comes to the case of potential full-blown nuclear attacks on our country, there are spots that simply just won’t survive according to a security expert.

In something that might not quite reassure you, a military historian has criticised a ‘lack of official guidance’ in the UK as he believes we’re not currently prepared.

Dr Mark Felton slammed on his YouTube that our nation is ‘not prepared for any such attacks’ as he laid out Iran’s missiles being capable of reaching us.
And professor at the University of Buckinghamshire, Anthony Glees, agrees that the UK lacks a defence system of safeguarding capable of safeguarding our infrastructure.
“If you live in central London or near a military target eg Faslane or RAF air base, I'm afraid you'd be incinerated at once,” he warned.
And the other places he says to avoid are hills or mountains or apartment blocks – things we have plenty of scattered all over the country.
“The higher you are, the greater the danger,” Glees claimed.
I mean, a lot of us can’t exactly help living near the likes of hills or in a flat but avoiding military bases is a good one.
There has previously been lists of the safest places in the UK to live in case of nuclear attack as well as some guidance on where to situate yourself.

Twenty ‘safest’ spots to live
So, wherever you do end up the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) previously said that the best way for protection before, during or after a nuclear blast is by ‘getting inside the centre of a building or basement’.
And realistically, you want to be outside of major cities such as Edinburgh and London.
So, looking at safe distancing from the most likely spaces for blasts EMoov, listed 20 spots that may potentially provide better protection.
