A woman who was travelling on the Singapore Airlines flight hit by devastating turbulence last week has been left with a 'life changing injury'.
Dance teacher Kerry Jordan is recovering at Bangkok's Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital after undergoing emergency surgery this week.
The flight had departed from Heathrow Airport on Monday night (20 May) carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew before it hit turbulence.

The plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand at 3:45pm local time, with local media reporting that ambulances were driven onto the tarmac to reach the plane and one person had died.
Kerry's husband, Keith Davis, who was also injured during the incident, said his wife was thrown from her seat and into an overhead locker before landing in the aisle.
He told the MailOnline: "We just fell into a huge hole and we're free falling and of course straight up into the ceiling.

"I went headfirst. We were in the middle section so I was dead centre and I went up through the vent and masks and things. Unfortunately for Kerry she hit the luggage doors.
"Instead of landing back in the seat are, she fell flat into the aisle and from that moment, she didn't move. That's where she remained for the rest of the flight.
"It [was] horrifying. I remember I leant over her and she was breathing. She was able to communicate, she was very weak.

"I remember feeling her breath, talking and I realised I was dripping blood into her dress. I thought, Oh, I'm going to ruin her dress."
Keith also gave a sad update on his wife's condition, adding: "She had emergency surgery as soon as we were admitted and it remains that she has no sensation from the waist down, so it's pretty life changing."
The couple were on their way to Australia from their home in Devon for a holiday when the tragic incident occurred.

It's reported that 40 people from the flight are still in hospital, with 22 receiving treatment for spinal injuries and six people being treated for brain and skull issues.
Sadly, one person has died - a 73-year-old British man named Geoff Kitchen, who was travelling with his wife.
It is reported that the Kitchens were sat in the row in front of Keith and Kerry.
Geoff, from Thornbury, Gloucestershire, was about to embark on the trip of a lifetime with his other half and was set to explore destinations including Singapore, Indonesia, and Australia.

His cousin, Stephen Kitchen, told The Independent that his family were 'shocked' by Geoffrey's sudden passing, while explaining that the couple had both been 'looking forward to the holiday'.
"They are travellers, they do quite a lot of these things, quite adventurous," he added. "It was sort of going to be their last big holiday."
