A major fast food chain said to rival your local maccies plans to open 400 new UK locations.
When it comes to fast food, although we have a lot of options, most of us tend to stick to our favourite comfort eats.
And for a lot of people, that includes a cheeky McDoanld's. Whether you're a fan of the Big Mac, a Chicken Nuggets sharebox - that you probably aren't sharing - or you live for the limited edition items like the Big Tasty or McRib, maccies is a popular option that for some is hard to beat.

With that being said, because there's a McDonald's on literally every corner, some of the other more understated US additions to our local high streets get forgotten - even though they have some pretty good stuff on their menu.
One fast food chain clearly wants to be your new go-to as bosses have plans to open 400 news restaurants across the UK, adding to the 33 sites they already have.
Now, we've all heard of Wendy's, but not all of us are lucky enough to have one nearby.

Some of the current sites to the home of the Frosty include Reading, Camden, Uxbridge, Guilford, Croydon, three in Cambridge and Hull (lucky devils), but execs of the chain believe 'everyone in the UK should have access to Wendy's food', hence the expansion.
And speaking of the expansion, areas of the UK said to be getting a Wendy's upgrade are currently Newcastle, Rutland, Colchester, and London.
Farhat Abbas, Managing Director for Khidmat Ltd. said: "We believe that everyone in the U.K. should have access to Wendy’s food, and we’re excited to grow with a brand that has such loyal fans across the globe. We look forward to serving the best hamburgers in Britain to hungry consumers in the Southwest soon!"

Michael Clarke, U.K. Managing Director, Europe for The Wendy’s Company, added: "With more than 30 restaurants already open, these plans reflect our ambition to expand to 400 locations nationwide, enabling more people to enjoy our food.
"We’re excited to welcome new team members and invite consumers to cheat on their usual and try Wendy’s."
Wendy's has been around in the UK for longer than you might think. First coming over here in the 80s, Wendy's stayed in operation until the early 2000s. Sadly, they had to shut down due to the high price of operating costs and overheads.
Fast forward to 2021 and Wendy's made their comeback opening in Reading before branching out elsewhere.

For those of you have never been to a Wendy's, they offer burgers that 'have a great flavour and juicy freshness', says Reddit users who believe the chain outdoes, not only maccies, but Burger King too.
With burgers such as 'The Baconator', their 'elite' Breakfast Wrap and plenty of options to choose from, Wendy's might just rival some of your favourites after all.
So, are you going to give them a try?
