While you might have a fairly boring birth name, most of us will end up with a nickname at some spot in our lives.
Unfortunately, those around use usually draw inspiration from the most embarrassing moment in our lives - whether it's your parents cooing over you in crib or your mates teasing you after a night out on the time.
Spare a though for this guy, whose mate revealed his disgusting moniker on social media after we asked you to share your favourite nicknames. (It's seriously grim.)

Many of your responses sadly weren't fit for publication, but I reckon we can just about get away with the short stories below.
One of you responded: "A lad I know who's an electrician, one of the old boys he works with who's about 70 and also an electrician gets called Jurassic Spark."
Another said: "I can't take credit for this as I read it online but I always think of the guy who was named 'Wayne Bruce' so his mates called him 'Manbat'."

One of the cruelest had to be 'Sniper's Nightmare'.
Whilst it doesn't sound all that bad, you'll be pretty shocked by the explanation.
"There's a guy at work that has one leg shorter than the other, which causes his head to bob side to side," revealed the Twitter user - adding: "They call him the Sniper's Nightmare."
However, one of the grimmest stories involved a mortifying misunderstanding at the doctor's.

One bloke replied: "Sample - mate goes to join Fire Service and woman gives him brown envelope and tube and asks for a sample.
"He goes off comes back gives the brown envelope and woman screams 'NO PEE SAMPLE'. He's gone and j***** in the tube, now known as Sample!"
Wow. Suppose he got off lightly really, 'cause they could've just nicknamed him 'J***'.

Understandably, people have been hilariously reacting to the Twitter post.
In the comments, one user called it 'brilliant' with another adding: "This is golden (pun intended)."
Rather shockingly though, it turns out there's more than one 'Sample' - sort of.
A third user explained that someone they knew had made a similar slip-up, writing: "A lad I worked with offshore did the same ... he was known as chugger there after."

Outstanding work, everyone.
