A bride-to-be in America was allegedly 'violently assaulted' on her hen night and left hospitalised just weeks before her wedding day.
Stag dos and hen nights are notoriously messy affairs, but it's usually the copious amounts of alcohol that leave attendees feeling worse for wear, rather than the alleged attack that an American woman suffered earlier this month.
Canada Rinaldi was celebrating her bachelorette party in Dallas in the early hours of Sunday March 23 when she reportedly attacked by a random man, according to her GoFundMe page.

The Oklahoma bride was reportedly forced to pay around $10,000 in medical expenses from the ambulance, hospital stay and ongoing care. Although the fundraiser, which has been set up by her friend, is seemingly going to be successful in paying those off, given that it stands at nearly $20,000 at the time of writing.

She reportedly suffered a concussion, a broken nose, three broken teeth, and eight stitches to her face, less than a month before her wedding, which is the nightmare scenario of any bride.
The GoFundMe page states: "Just 24 hours earlier, she had told us she was having 'the best trip of her life.' That happiness was ripped away from her in an instant, turning it into the most terrifying and traumatising night she’s ever experienced.
"She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance and treated for her injuries. But because the man who did this hasn’t been caught, therefore he isn’t being held responsible."

However, on Friday, March 28, the Dallas Police Department (DPD) confirmed on its website that 27-year-old Trevon Woodards had been arrested by the Bedford Police Department in connection with an aggravated assault.
The suspect is accused of having 'assaulted two victims' in the 2600 block of Floyd Street, located in the Deep Ellum neighbourhood, before 2am on March 23.
This fits in with the timings of Canada's alleged attack, although she confessed to People magazine that she 'doesn't remember the attack.'

Unfortunately, medical bills in America are more than we Brits can often comprehend, such as the man who was charged around $13,000 after donating a kidney.

And even though the injuries clearly weren't her fault, there is no guarantee that Canada will be fully reimbursed for her significant bills, even if her alleged attacker is found guilty of the crime.
The GoFundMe adds that Canada 'is now trying to heal—not only physically, but emotionally and financially—when she should be counting down the days to her wedding.'
Fingers crossed Canada can make a full recovery ahead of her big day next month.
