A body language expert has analysed Donald Trump's recent '100 days' interview and revealed the gesture that he did towards the reporter that showed his anger.
President Donald Trump sat down for his 100 days interview with ABC News yesterday (29 April) to speak about the past 100 days of his second term of presidency so far.
The 47th president of the US spoke about the 'comeback' he's started with his country, claiming that it is once again a 'respected country' after the changes he has made to immigration, his infamous global tariffs and his overhaul of the government.

While making fun of former POTUS Joe Biden seemed to bemuse the 78-year-old as the interview went on, ABC News journalist Terry Moran posed some hard-hitting questions for Trump to answer.
Sat in the Oval Office, there was more than one occasion where the President was not pleased with the questions asked.
But one gesture in particular stood out to body language expert Darren Stanton, which you can see in the clip above, when he speaks about the good he has done the economy and the 'positive effects' of his tariffs.
It's called the 'accordion gesture', and Trump is no stranger to displaying it when he's frustrated.

Speaking on behalf of Genting Casino, Stanton explained to LADbible: “The reporter appears to be really riling him up. I think the flippancy of the reporter created some real anger and frustration.
"When Trump thinks he is not being listened to, he tends to escalate things quite quickly, as he did in this situation. He was clearly very frustrated and angry."
He added: “You see his brows furrow and his gestures start to become more erratic. He does that movement with his hands, I call it the ‘accordion gesture’, a lot when stressed and you can see the speed and frequency of those movements increasing."

You may have seen him put his hands out in front of him, moving them closer and further from each other when trying to make a point, like he's playing an accordion.

“He also leans backwards and squints his eyes, almost turning his head from the reporter in disgust," Stanton added.
"This is a clear signal of the disdain and anger towards the reporter quickly and calmly shutting down his lie."
The interview involved some tense exchanges between the pair, with Trump making numerous dubious claims, such as the fact that he believes that those around the world are fans of his policies.
Trump even hit back at claims from Moran that he had caused the nation's reputation to be damaged through his actions, resulting in the number of tourists sharply declining following his return to power.
Preliminary figures released by the US' National Travel and Tourism Office revealed that there has been a significant drop in overseas visitors compared to the same period in 2024.

There was an 11.6 percent drop of holidaymakers to the US in March, according to AP News.
The continuing trend could cost the US billions in the long-run according to experts, though Trump insisted: "The country's doing great. Prices are down, gasoline is down, energy is down.
"Tourism is going to be way up - wait until you see the numbers. Tourism is way up."
Moran's interjections were fiercely pushed back by Trump though, who claimed tourism is 'doing very well'.

"In six months from now, wait until you see the numbers, they're going to be very good," he claimed.
The president also spoke of the arrest of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a 29-year-old from El Salvador who was deported from the US in March.
Even though The Supreme Court ruled that he was deported in error and should be returned home to Maryland, the Trump Administration believe he is part of the Salvadorian gang MS-13.
Trump was sure that Garcia had 'MS-13' tattooed on his knuckles, while people on social media pointed out that it's been digitally edited in photos.
