Viewers tuning into Donald Trump's victory speech after winning the US presidential election were left baffled by the 78-year-old's 'surreal' shoutout.
That's right folks, you have not travelled back to 2016 without realising, Donald J Trump is president once again.
Following months on the campaign trail, the Republican candidate clinched victory against current Vice President Kamala Harris in the race to the White House and becoming the 47th leader of the United States.

Naturally the cameras were all on Trump as he emerged on stage in Florida to declare victory and promise to guide America into a 'golden age' (or at least his version of a golden age).
Given Trump's background for showmanship - this is after all the only president to have made regular appearances on WWE - it's no surprise that this major political moment featured a celebrity shoutout.
Enter pro-golfer Bryson DeChambeau.

The president-elect's speech took a bizarre turn when he praised the 'fantastic' US Open champion DeChambeau, before enquiring about whether or not the golfer was in the building.
DeChambeau then sheepishly appeared on the stage wearing an all-black 'Make America Great Again' hat, as Trump praised his 'great career' in the sport.
The 31-year-old golfer wasn't the only non-political cameo of the night, which also featured an appearance from UFC owner Dana White, however the moment was clearly the tipping point of a truly bonkers night for many viewers.
Reacting to the moment on social media, one person wrote: "The newly elected president Donald Trump shouting out Bryson DeChambeau at his victory party is as surreal as it gets!."

"I did NOT have 'Trump congratulates Bryson Dechambeau on his US Open win (checks watch...from 5 MONTHS ago) during his acceptance speech' on my Bingo card," a second person joked, while a third added: "One Bryson DeChambeau definitely was NOT JUMPING up for appearing on stage and having his reputation once again get roasted again."
As bizarre as the moment seemed, those in the loop with the comings and goings of US politics will likely remember that Trump and Dechambeau have a bit of history - with the pair previously playing a round of golf together.

Back in July, Dechambeau uploaded a video to his YouTube account titled 'Can I Break 50 With President Donald Trump?' which later went viral.
The video also settled the long-running debate regarding or not the president-elect was good at golf (which we regret to inform you, he is).
