Donald Trump's table manners were put to the test during his state visit to China, as the US leader was served food which is reportedly not to his liking.
President Trump touched down in Beijing earlier this week for talks with China's Xi Jinping, with the visit set to conclude today (15 May).
The visit involved a fancy arrival ceremony, an infamous handshake outside China’s Great Hall of the People and sitting down for a press conference, which was nearly derailed by a rogue comment caught by a nearby hot mic.
However, negotiations with the Chinese leader were unlikely to be the most difficult part of the 79-year-old's visit, as the US leader is said to have been served some of his least favourite foods during a state banquet: vegetables.
What was on the menu at China's state banquet?

According to The New York Times, a menu at Thursday's state banquet included dishes such as lobster in tomato soup, stewed seasonal vegetables, slow-cooked salmon in mustard sauce and pan-fried pork buns.
Dessert, meanwhile, was a selection of tiramisu, fruits and ice cream – the latter of which Trump is reportedly quite fond of.
It all sounds very lovely and was likely prepared by the most-skilled chefs which Bejing has to offer.
However, this doesn't account for the fact that President Trump can be rather fussy when it comes to his eating preferences, with the outlet noting that he prefers Western dishes such as burgers, fries and steak.
The president isn't completely against vegetables, however he prefers it to be coated in ceaser salad dressing.
Former White House doctor Ronny Jackson told The New York Times his team used to hide cauliflower in Trump's mashed potatoes, and tried to make ice cream 'less accessible'.
The Chinese state banquet is a marked departure from nations which have been more mindful of Trump's eating habits over the years, with food served during his visit to Japan last October being tailored to American taste buds.
After all, nobody wants to deal with a hungry president.

Donald Trump's eating habits explained
It's no secret that President Trump has a very specific diet, evidenced by his infamous 'Diet Coke button' and photo ops surrounded by piles and piles of McDonald's burgers, which leaves many people wondering: how healthy is the US leader really?
Trump's former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski revealed to The Week that during his first presidential campaign, Trump would go '14 to 16 hours without eating' before tucking into two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches, and a small chocolate shake.
His eating habits have even raised concern with the Secretary of Health, Robert F Kennedy Jr., who described his diet as 'really bad' during a recent podcast interview.
"I don’t know how he’s alive," he added to Katie Miller on her podcast.
