Donald Trump's hands go viral as large blotches of 'foundation' appear leaving people concerned

People have noticed it looks smeared in makeup

People have been wondering what the deal is with Donald Trump's hands after they spotted that he appeared to have a big blob of makeup caked over one of them.

It's not the first time the 79-year-old has been seen with marks on his hands, as the oldest man ever to be elected to the White House has had noticeably off-colour markings before.

A recent picture of Trump out and about in Washington, D.C. at The People’s House is the latest hand splodge to garner attention and people thought it stood out.

When he welcomed FIFA president Gianni Infantino to the White House on the same day (22 August), he largely kept his right hand obscured by his left to cover up the makeup mark.

Earlier this year it was announced that Trump had chronic venous insufficiency, which is a common ailment for older men like the US president.

It's a condition where a person's leg veins become damaged to the point that they don't work properly and blood isn't carried back up to the heart as efficiently as it once was, causing it to pool in the legs and result in swelling.

The announcement on his health was made after people noticed Trump's swollen ankles at the Club World Cup, where he inexplicably joined Chelsea in their celebrations and stole one of the trophies.

With a new mark on his hand it has gone viral as people wonder what it is, with many saying it's likely down to 'hand bruising' and wondering if a sign of ill health is being concealed from them.

Others joked that they needed to 'get this man to a Sephora' and find someone who could do a more convincing cover job with makeup, because whatever Trump had dabbed on his hand looked very conspicuous.

Some people joked he was supposed to be 'good at cover ups', while any discussion about Donald Trump these days would not be complete without people urging him to 'release the Epstein files'.

Trump regularly mocked the age and health of his political rival Joe Biden, 82, but they are not very far apart in ages at all and the current White House occupant is the oldest ever person to be elected as president.

His administration has made claims over what the marks on the hands are, with the official line being that he shakes so many people's hands it has started to leave bruises on him.

Earlier this year a very visible mark on Trump's hand was spotted during a meeting with French president Emmanuel Macron, and the bruise 'reappeared' the following month.

As a person gets older they're more likely to develop bruises on the hands, as your skin becomes thinner and you lose the protective layer which cushions your blood vessels against impact.

Considering the amount of spray-tan he applies to his face, one wonders whether Trump will start caking up his hands in his preferred brand of orange.
