A lip reading expert claims to have deciphered the tense words exchanged between Donald Trump and his wife Melania at the Freedom 250 Grand Prix.
The US president was seen engaging in what appeared to be a fraught conversation with his spouse in the stands as the IndyCar race got underway on Sunday (23 August).
Although the noise from the track drowned out their chat in footage that has been circulating online, a professional lip reader has now shared her thoughts on what the pair were saying.
Donald and Melania initially appeared to put on a united front when they arrived at the Freedom 250 IndyCar race in Washington DC over the weekend.

Before competitors started their engines, the duo who have been married for more than two decades did a ceremonial lap of the 1.7-mile track in the presidential limousine.

Drivers at the Freedom 250 Grand Prix sped past iconic monuments as they navigated 147 laps on the course that spanned 250 miles, which was an ode to the US celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Trump had the honour of waving a green flag to kick off the race, which 27-year-old Kyle Kirkwood, from Florida, ultimately triumphed in after taking the lead in an impressive 128 laps.
But this video suggests that waving a white flag would have been more beneficial for those two while they were taking in the action from the presidential booth.
Melania could be seen whispering into her husband's ear in the footage of what has been described as an 'intense' conversation by professional lip reader Nicola Hickling.
She has more than 20 years of experience working out what words might be coming out of someone's mouth and is profoundly deaf.
According to her website, Hickling's skillset 'goes beyond identifying words', as she can 'capture tone, context, and nuance'.
She previously shared her assessment of Donald's conversations at the World Cup final, what he said after being booed at Madison Square Garden, and his behaviour towards French president Emmanuel Macron.
Speaking to Metro, Hickling shared her assessment of Trump's brisk exchange with Melania and suggested the conversation began with the First Lady referencing a 'private and valuable text'.
Hickling claims that her husband then asked: "Was it enough?" To which she supposedly replied: "I don't know."

Donald is alleged to have told his wife that he 'needs to see it', before Melania told him, 'Donald, listen, I’m gonna go', according to Hickling.
"Listen, she asked you not to close the door," the US president supposedly said. After Melania asked 'why', the professional lip reader believes he told her: "It’s bad news, but it’s a bad timing Melania."
She is then said to have told him 'that's crazy' before leaning in towards his ear and whispering, to which Donald is alleged to have said: "I’ve had enough of her."
It is unclear who the mystery woman they might have been referencing is, however, Hickling's breakdown of their tense chat is certainly food for thought.
'Looks like an argument'

Footage of the moment has been circulating on X and lot of social media users have chimed in with their thoughts.
One person said: "They don't look happy."
Another remarked: "Where were they? Very public spot and she is tearing into him. She's never spoken that much to him in public."
A third commented: "Trouble in paradise."
And a fourth speculated: "Looks like an argument."
