A man who has been struck by lightning, attacked by a shark and bitten by a snake has revealed which injury was the most painful.
Erik Norrie has had a pretty rough time of it when it comes to near-death experiences.
The bloke, from Florida, has been 'punched by monkeys' twice, struck by lightning, bitten by a snake and attacked by a shark. So it's fair to say that Norrie may be the 'world's unluckiest man' due to his abilities to find himself in potentially fatal situations.

Or maybe you'd call him the 'world's luckiest man' if you're a glass half full type of person, considering the fact that he's managed to go through so many traumatic experiences and live to tell the tale.
So what was the moment in which Norrie felt he was closest to death? Was it the moment the heavens opened and sent a bolt of electricity his way? Or perhaps it was being bitten by a rattlesnake?
Turns out it was the shark encounter which left him fearing for his life the most.

Recalling the incident, which occurred while Norrie was fishing off the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas back in 2013, he said he'd felt something grab onto his leg while swimming back to the boat, where his wife, father-in-law and four daughters were - after enjoying some snorkelling and spearfishing.
"As I look back, [the shark] was just finishing his bite and ripping and swimming off, and you could see a piece of my leg in his mouth," he told Fox Tampa Bay.
He continued: "I immediately threw the spear down with the fish because there was an enormous pool of blood around me and that shark was swimming all through the blood, sort of looking around, for more."
The shark than began to circling the pool of blood, causing Norrie's father-in-law to jump into the water and defend him.

"[It was] pretty courageous on his part," Norrie added.
After he was able to get out of the water Norrie tied rubber bands around his leg to stem the bleeding, while his family called for help over the radio. A doctor holidaying in the area was then able to come to his help before being transferred to a US hospital to receive skin grafts.
"That was a tough ride. I really did think I was going to die," he said, adding that it was his most terrifying encounter with the natural world.

However the terrifying attack hasn't made Norrie any more afraid of the great outdoors
