Hannah Kobayashi's sister claims her family are yet to 'physically' see her and that 'she doesn't wish to return home'.
The 30-year-old from Hawaii was reported missing last month after failing to board her connecting flight at Los Angeles International Airport to New York.
Her father, Ryan Kobayashi, 58, who travelled to LA to look for her, took his own life after his body was found at the bottom of a car park at LAX airport on November 24.
After various sightings and cryptic messages, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that Hannah crossed the US/Mexico border on November 12.

The force said 'Kobayashi expressed a desire to step away from modem connectivity' and that 'speculation about potential involvement in human trafficking or foul play' was false. They claimed that she went missing 'voluntarily'.
Earlier this week, her family were delighted to confirm that Hannah had been found safe and sound.
"We are incredibly relieved and grateful that Hannah has been found safe," they said.

"This past month has been an unimaginable ordeal for our family, and we kindly ask for privacy as we take the time to heal and process everything we have been through.
"We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us during this difficult time. Your kindness and concern have meant the world to us."
However, her sister Sydni Kobayashi has since claimed that the family are yet to see Hannah in person and that she doesn't want to return home.
"At this time, my mother and I have not physically seen Hannah," she said in a Facebook post.

"We do not have actual proof of where she is, other than that she is somewhere in Mexico.
"We have only spoken to her over the phone, and she was allegedly found safe with [our aunt] Larie, but at this time, she does not wish to return to us."
The sister went on: "The past 31 days have been absolute hell for us, and I feel they will continue to be for a while, even as we try to transition back to some semblance of normalcy.

"As you can imagine, we are all extremely relieved and glad that my sister is alive and seemingly okay, but we also have mixed and overwhelming feelings of exhaustion, devastation, and betrayal.
"We are kindly asking the public to respect our privacy and offer us grace for a moment as we are still grieving.
"There is still so much unknown, and so much that still needs to be navigated."
