Going viral is all well and good... until you've got to tell your parents why everyone is calling you the Hawk Tuah Girl.
I think we've all spared a thought for Haliey Welch over the last few days, while wondering how on earth she was going to explain her overnight fame to her mum and dad, as you can only assume that they'd hit the roof.
Imagine mind being a fly on the wall for that conversation, eh?

Well, we no longer have to wonder how the 21-year-old's parents took the news, as the Hawk Tuah Girl has revealed all during an appearance on Brianna Lapaglia's podcast Plan Bri Uncut.
Welch finally broke her silence on what life has been like since becoming a viral star, as the snippets we've seen on social media suggest it's been quite a whirlwind so far.
She's launched a line of hats featuring her explicit catchphrase, which has already raked in an estimated $65,000 (£51,329), as well as reportedly getting herself an agent.

The Nashville-native also joined country music star Zach Bryan on stage to sing his hit 'Revival' in front of thousands of fans at the Nissan Stadium on Saturday (June 29), so she's barely had two minutes to herself.
But before opportunities came knocking left right and centre, Welch had to deal with explaining to her family why a video of her shouting on a night out, 'You gotta give ‘em that Hawk Tuah and spit on that thang,' has been seen all around the world.
So yeah, it's not the greatest topic of conversation to discuss with the people who raised you, really.
Welch admitted she 's**t a brick' when she realised that the footage of her interview with YouTuber duo Tim and Dee TV had gone viral while getting ready to start work at 2am - as she thought the clip would 'never see' the light of day.

But much to her shock, the number of views swelled up to the millions each time she checked it - so obviously, she needed to let her mum and dad know.
Speaking about her family's reaction, Welch said: "They think it's so funny.
"They know how I am, because you can never tell what's going to come out of my mouth. I mean, it's a hit or a miss what comes out of my mouth. I just...talk out of my ass."

Lapaglia interjected to add: "Well that was a hit, a big hit."
No kidding!
"That topic was," Welch laughed. "The one time I say something like that, of course, there's a camera in my face."
Social media users seem to be totally besotted with the Hawk Tuah Girl, especially after her latest interview, as people just can't get enough of that Southern drawl and her jolliness.
One viewer joked: "Dad's laughing on the outside, crying on the inside," as another commented: "The more she talks, the more I love her!"

A third added: "Low key would be proud if this was my daughter. Cause, easy to tell, she’s a good soul."
And a fourth added: "I’m glad she came forward and is telling her story. She’s got a huge personality."
While a fifth said: "She is a breath of fresh air! Glad she is upfront and honest."
Welch, who said she doesn't want Hawk Tuah to 'be her image', also revealed she has received a 'revolting' request from an admirer who offered her $600 for her to do her trademark trick in a jar for him.
I guess you really know you've hit the big time when the creeps start coming out of the woodwork.
