A man has opened up about his life changing injuries after being electrocuted and burning 'almost all of the skin off his head'.
Following the horror incident in 2019, John Pendleton, 36, now works as a public safety speaker to make sure people don't suffer the same accident he did.
The former rock miner from Florida endured a workplace electric shock while operating a heavy piece of machinery, resulting in 4,160 volts of electricity entering through the top of his head and leaving through the back of his neck.

Following the shock, John doesn't remember what happened because he was put in a coma for nine days.
When the dad-of-two woke up, he had third and fourth-degree burns on 30 percent of his upper limbs, a brain bleed and a skull fracture.
Worst of all, he lost his right ear and 40 percent of the left one.

Taking to his TikTok page (@johnarcingaheadapparel), John revealed that he now uses a prosthetic ear.
“Now there is a hole in my skull,” he said in one of his videos.

“The electricity burned almost all of my skin off the head – where it was exposed it was open.”

He claims that the tissue off his back was removed to create a 'head flap' which became the skin on top of his head after it 'shrunk down to what you see now'.
Despite living with immense difficulties, John is still able to poke fun at himself, revealing that he throws his plastic ear at kids on Halloween.
In a previous clip, he said: “I can still hear, Ok. As you can see I have my fake ear and I actually bought this the first year I was out of the hospital.

“It was Halloween, we found it at a store, I grabbed it up and for our Halloween party, I threw this at all of my friends’ kids and scared the hell out of all of them.
“They would catch the ear and go ‘oh my god! You have my ear!’ and it was absolutely hilarious.”
“So yes, I can hear, out of his hole,” he added, pointing to the side of his head.
“The ears not there but the eardrum and everything is intact it works perfectly.”

During the clip, he also addressed the various trolls who make fun of him in the comments.
He said: “I respect everyone’s comments that’ve liked and followed, I love all you guys, it’s amazing. I don’t take any of the comments offensive.
“I don’t have thin skin. I got thick skin. I’m not offended by anything or anything like that, I actually love the jokes, I love all the humour, it makes me laugh.”
John has had 10 surgeries and is expected to undergo more in the near future, reports Jackson Health.
