A woman has spoken out on ITV's This Morning about how a routine DNA test showed a horrifying link between her ex-boyfriend and her father.
Victoria Hill spoke to Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard on yesterday's This Morning.
Hill, from Connecticut, decided to take a DNA test to find out about her health and get more information about her family history, however it would later reveal that the dad she grew up with was not her biological father.

Her father was in fact someone that she knew, but the revelation shocked Hill.
The test revealed that she had several half-siblings, some of whom contacted her.
The woman’s mother had visited fertility doctors, and it was revealed through her half-siblings that her father was actually the fertility doctor who her mum had visited.

Hill said of the encounter with her half-sister who told her the news: “As she continued to push, she said, ‘Did your mother go to Yale Fertility Treatment Clinic to get help for fertility.'

"When she had said that, it got my attention because I did know that much. My parents had struggled with fertility and went out to Yale to get help.
“She had my attention and she gave me the rest of the information - this doctor, my mother's fertility doctor, was in fact my biological father.”
The woman spoke about how the fertility doctor had used his own ‘specimen’ for inseminating his mother.
The shocking revelations did not stop there, however, as Hill also found out that her ex-boyfriend had gone through the same thing.
In reality her ex-boyfriend was her half-brother.
She stated that after learning the news her and a group of friends, including her ex-boyfriend, were discussing the news at a reunion and that she could see him ‘turning it over’ in his head.

She then said: “He ultimately called his mother and his mother confirmed that the same doctor had performed the same procedure. So then it was a waiting game.
“We sat there in disbelief that this was something we were entertaining. We made jokes but it felt very surreal.
"In a couple of weeks, he sent me the screenshot that you are my sister.

“The mind-boggling thing about it was as he sent me the screenshot, I had the notification from my phone on 23 and Me that you have a new half-sibling.”

Hill spoke about how there were over 80 recorded cases of fertility doctors engaging in this practice.
She stated that there is no legislation against doctors doing this and is fighting for this to be brought in to prevent others going through what she went through.
She did confront the doctor, Dr Caldwell, who recently passed away.

When asked about why he did what he did, Caldwell ‘readily admitted that this was something he did’ and explained his horrific decision by saying ‘he was in the business of making babies’.

She stated that it was so common that she found out she had 25 half-siblings, four of whom she went to high school with, saying the number ‘continues to grow’.
