Audio from the moment that a Delta plane crash landed on its back has been released.
On Monday (17 February), the Mitsubishi CRJ-900LR aircraft departed Minneapolis at around 11.47am local time, arriving at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
Delta Flight 4819 appeared to flip over on the snowy runway, with viral videos shared on social media revealing the full extent of the crash.

In an statement, the airport stated that they were 'aware' of what happened, adding: "Emergency teams are responding. All passengers and crew are accounted for."

The jet was seen 'upside down and burning', as CNN report that 18 passengers were treated for injury, while the majority walked away without harm.
There were no fatalities reported among the 76 passengers and four crew.

Now, audio from the harrowing moment has surfaced from the air traffic control tower, as staff looked on at the Delta plane which had concluded its travels.
Following its unfortunate landing, an air traffic controller could be heard saying: "This airplane just crashed."
In another conversation between those in air traffic control and a Madevac helicopter, the first responders in the air said: "Just so you're aware, there's people also walking around the aircraft there.
"Yeah, we've got it," a man replied, adding: "The aircraft is upside down and burning."
While the accident could have been worse, investigations continue as the runway was believed to be 'dry', with this claim contrasting the comments made by one of the passengers via CNN.

John Nelson said that there was a 'big fireball' to the left side of the plane, as passengers filtered out of the upside down aircraft.
The Association of Flight Attendants further confirmed that there were no deaths reported, as they said in a statement: "Our union is responding to an incident in Toronto with Delta Air Lines Endeavor Flight 4819.
"AFA crew were working this flight. Reports are there are no fatalities. Please do not speculate on this incident as everyone works to gather information and support those involved."
Constable Sarah Patten from the Peel Regional Police in Ontario explained that it is her 'understanding' that most passengers were unscathed, though she doesn't know much about the circumstances around it.

This crash was the first major incident that involved a commercial passenger plane, since the controversial collision between a commercial plane and a US army helicopter, with both crash-landing in the Potomac river near Washington, D.C.
