Viewers watching the Platinum Jubilee Pageant at home this afternoon (Sunday 5 June) were in stitches after clocking a woman seated behind Prince Charles – who, despite all the chaos and excitement around her, inexplicably appeared to be fast asleep. Watch footage here:
The final day of the extended jubilee bank holiday has seen a huge pageant descend on Buckingham Palace, with 10,000 people including military, performers and key workers involved in the event.

While many eyes were either on the procession itself or the royals watching along from their seats, some eagle-eyed viewers noticed an amusing detail in the audience, having spotted a very sleepy woman sitting behind Prince Charles.
One person tweeted: “I'm glad the woman on the left is happy to sleep through this important day. #jubileeconcert #PrinceCharles.”
Someone else wrote: “I've been watching the woman sat behind Charles sleeping. I think the cameraman has finally decided to move the camera to the right side of Charles in order to avoid her. It's soo funny though! Like seriously how can you sleep it must be soo loud!! #PlatinumJubileePageant.”
A third commented: “Haha woman behind Charles was briefly awake but has gone to sleep again #JubileeCelebrations.”

A fourth added: “Who is this sleepy woman. How can she sleep through such a monumental event. Oh please someone who is she???”
While some people expressed their frustration over the ‘waste of a grandstand seat’ at the event, branding her ‘disrespectful’, others came to her defence.
One said: “People need to calm down and stop hating on the poor woman, she's knackered. Let her sleep, let her live!”
Another simply said: “Fair play this woman’s had a cracking sleep #platiniumjubilee.”

I mean, they have a point.
Last night, viewers also enjoyed watching Prince George and his dad singing along heartily to Rod Stewart's rendition of Neil Diamond classic 'Sweet Caroline'.
As the audience sang along loudly to the classic tune, the camera cut to George and William – who were doing exactly the same, cheerily waving their flags.

The moment didn’t go unnoticed by viewers watching along at home, with one tweeting the clip, saying: “Prince George and Prince William enthusiastically singing along to Sweet Caroline at #PlatinumPartyatthePalace!”
Someone else said: “Okay but Prince George knowing Sweet Caroline at 9 years old is f**king iconic #PlatinumPartyatthePalace.”
Later in the footage, his sister Charlotte was also seen waving her flag alongside mum Kate, who was singing along too.
