A singer in Brazil says she was hospitalised with trapped gas because she's not yet on 'farting terms' with her boyfriend.
Viviane de Queiroz Pereira – known by her stage name Pocah – shared her gas problem on Instagram.
The 27-year-old posted images of herself in hospital to her 15.7 million followers.

"I woke up at 5.30am with severe stomach pains and ended up in the hospital," she said.
However, the singer-songwriter assured her followers she's now ok.
Pocah added: "But that's it, guys. I'm now fine. Just an accumulation of trapped farts."

She advised her female fans: "Girls, don't be ashamed to fart in front of your guy, because what's really embarrassing is not letting your guy sleep because you're in discomfort, going to hospital with your guy, and the diagnosis being 'trapped farts'.
"From now on, I'm letting them rip, guys."
Pocah added: "I'm medicated and I'm fine."
She blamed a TikTok thread that suggested that she 'ignore' the stomach pains, which is exactly what she did and as result she underwent several tests before being told what the problem was.

Pocah was born in the municipality of Queimados in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro and is of African, Portuguese and Native Brazilian descent.
She launched her career in 2012 with the song 'Mulher do Poder' as MC Pocahontas.
She later opted to change her name to Pocah in early 2019, when she signed with Warner Music Group, to prevent possible copyright infringements with Disney.
And if you're wondering, TikTok medic Dr Karan Raj has explained the disgusting reason why we should never hold in a fart.
Dr Raj (@dr.karanr) says that, on average, people fart 14 times a day and 'if someone tells you they don't [fart], they are lying'.

He adds that not letting a fart out can have gross consequences.
He says in the video: "If you hold in a fart too long it can be reabsorbed into your bloodstream and breathed out when you exhale."
That certainly doesn't sound too good – better out that in, as they say.
