A woman has been praised for the clever but ‘terrifying’ habit she practices whenever she hitches a ride.
A TikTok user by the name of ‘brennalina’ has revealed the lengths she goes in case something happens to her in a ride-share vehicle.
The video, which has been viewed over 27 million times, shows the woman cementing her fingerprints into the car window while dropping strands of her hair inside.
Oh, how fun it is being a woman!

Many viewers applauded the smart tactic but were equally terrified.
Horrifyingly, one user even suggested: “Remember for DNA the hair needs to include the follicle.”
A second said: “Terrifying and clever at the same time
A third person advised: “Pls make sure you’re sharing your Uber rides with someone through the app too."

Another shared: “Spread your prints out homie. One full print is better than fragments of all of them. Overlapping makes it complicated.”
The Head of Public Safety at Uber Andrea Orr, recently spoke to Refinery29 Australia and said as 83 per cent of sexual assault victims from 2014 - 2019 were reported to be women, she wants to ensure Uber isn’t leaving them vulnerable.
Part of this is making sure the app has an option for passengers to submit a rating of drivers while also being able to provide feedback so that perpetrators are immediately removed from the platform.

She also urges users to familiarise themselves with the app to fully understand its safety features, which include sharing your ride with a loved one.
The latest addition to the app includes the ‘Verify My Ride’ feature, where ultrasound waves to send a rider’s unique PIN to the matched driver’s mobile phone, which hopes to eliminate the possibility of passengers entering the wrong vehicle.
Orr also shared that Uber's incident response and law enforcement engagement teams are available 24/7 to respond to any reported incidents.
She added: “We're going to use that [reporting] to continue to refine and make the Uber app the safest platform that we can.

"That commitment is the totality of so many people's work at Uber every single day.”
But brennalina isn't the only person who has shared similar tactics like this in the past.
People have taken to social media to reveal that they do it to leave breadcrumbs of where they have been just in case the worst should happen.
