Horrifying footage shows the exact moment a tourist submarine in Egypt sunk into the water while hatches were still open and people were still boarding.
Six people have died in a disaster after a Sindbad submarine intended to take tourists to see the sights beneath the Red Sea sank off the coast of the Egyptian city of Hurghada.
Everyone on board, 45 passengers and five crew, have been accounted for and an investigation has been launched with the crew members questioned about the tragedy.

Some survivors of the sunken submarine have claimed that the reason for the disaster and loss of life is because the Sindbad tried to dive into the water while hatches were still open, leading to water pouring in.
Now, footage taken moments before the disaster from passengers who were still trying to board shows the horrifying moment the submarine goes down into the water before the hatches have been closed and everyone is on board.

The footage shows tourists screaming as they abort their attempt to board the submarine, with the person taking the video saying 'we are already descending slowly' while they're still standing atop it.

Screaming from those trapped inside is heard and the camera ends up submerged as the vessel the person filming was standing on goes into the water.
The Russian consulate in Hurghada said that all six who died were Russians, two among them being children, and a number of other passengers were taken to hospital after being rescued.
One of the tourists, named Regina, had been planning on boarding the sub with her two children aged nine and 10.
She said that she and her family were saved because they were standing on top of the sub and had not yet gone through the open hatch when the sub started sinking.

"We were queuing at the boarding, when the submarine began to sink into the water," she said. “The Egyptian who was responsible for loading shouted ‘Stop, stop!’. But naturally no one inside heard him."
She said that he told them to get back onto the pontoon where people had been boarding the submarine from, explaining: "We pushed the children out.
“I understood that I would not be able to climb onto the pontoon itself. I tried to swim away from the submarine. I was afraid that I would be pulled under it because of the currents.
“I swam away, sat on the structures that were built around the pontoon so that they could moor here. From there I moved to the pontoon itself.”
Regina said it was 'a very big tragedy' and said 'the hatches were not battened down' when the submarine went down.
