A man had a remarkable escape after he ended up on the tracks in the path of a moving train.
Here’s the video, so you can see how he cheated death:
Basically, Prateek Kumar realised that he needed to act quickly and lay down on the tracks so that the moving train passed over him without seriously injuring or killing him.

It’s a pretty terrifying bit of footage, so try to imagine what it must have been like to actually go through it in real life.
It’s like something out of an action movie, except this looks like a stunt that even Tom Cruise wouldn’t try to do himself, and he threw himself off a cliff a bunch of times for the latest Mission: Impossible movie.
Kumar originally got off to buy a cold drink and some biscuits, but quickly tried to get back on board the train after it started to leave without him.
The train, which was stopped at Bagaha railway station in West Chamaparan in India started rolling out, and Kumar – who is in his 20s – decided that he desperately needed to get back on board.

So desperately that he almost lost his life in the process.
As he ran after the train and tried to re-embark, he slipped underneath the moving carriages and ended up on the tracks.
Showing remarkable quickness of thought, however, he lay down flat as the train rolled on over him as officials and passengers watched on in horror, clearly thinking that he was about to die.

A local source is quoted as having said: "He was careful with his movements and stayed still, waiting for the train to pass.
"After the train had gone, RPF cop Harishchandra Yadav came to the aid of the victim, getting down on the track and picking him up.
"Prateek Kumar suffered minor injuries and also had parts of his clothes torn in this incident."

That’s pretty unbelievable in itself, to have escaped with only a few cuts and bruises, as well as some ripped clothing.
It could have been so much worse.
Clearly, there might be some non-physical stuff to deal with afterwards, as it looks like it was a pretty traumatic experience.
After the train had gone, some bystanders gave Kumar a towel to wrap around his head and took him off to hospital.

The incident took place on September 29 whilst he was travelling between Bettiah and New Delhi.
