NASA has spoken out about the ‘alien bodies’ that have been recently revealed by the Mexican government, right after the US space agency published its own findings on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs).
If you haven’t seen, a couple of very strange looking mummified bodies were unveiled in Mexico the other day, presented to the country’s congress as part of a hearing on UFOs.

The bodies have three fingers on each hand and are absolutely tiny, prompting many – including prominent Mexican UFO enthusiast and journalist Jaime Maussan – to believe that they are non-human remains.
However, there are a good number of sceptics as well.
The remains were initially discovered in Peru, and officials from that country have questioned whether claims of extra-terrestrial life are true.

Ryan Graves, a former US Navy pilot who attended the hearing to present his own experiences on UAPs, said: "Yesterday's demonstration was a huge step backwards for this issue.
"I am deeply disappointed by this unsubstantiated stunt."
Now, NASA has weighed in on the matter.
After releasing their report, thoughts turned to the presentation in Mexico, with David Spergel – the chair of that UAP study – stating that he’d seen online reports about the specimens, believed to be about 1,000 years old, but didn’t have the full information.
"We don't know the nature of those samples," he said.

Spergel did urge the Mexican government to make specimen samples available to the entire international scientific community, so that they might be examined and the truth determined.
Dan Evans, who is an assistant deputy associate administrator for research at NASA, outlined NASA’s commitment to moving beyond conspiracy theories and speculation to cold hard scientific rigour.
He said: "One of the main things we're trying to do here today [through the UAP report] is to move conjecture and conspiracy towards science and sanity, and you do that with data."
During the Mexican presentation, Maussan took questions under oath, claiming that nearly a third of the DNA in the specimens is ‘unknown’ and that they don’t fit into ‘our terrestrial evolution’.

Before the Mexican politicians and representatives from US government, Maussan said: "These specimens are not part of our evolutionary history on Earth,
"They are not beings recovered from a UFO crash.
“Instead, they were found in diatom (algae) mines and subsequently became fossilised."

Maussan – who has had his credibility questioned before, it is worth noting – said that the specimens were discovered near to Peru’s ancient Nazca Lines and have been carbon dated to be around 1,000 by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
Maussan claims that the two specimens are not related to any species on Earth.
