While there have been plenty of wholesome transatlantic interactions thanks to the live-stream Portal set up between Dublin and New York, some people have rather spoiled things.
The installation, which provides a two-way livestream between the two cities, was temporarily closed recently after 'inappropriate behaviour'.
That's after people ended up flashing each other through the portal and showing pictures of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The portal in Dublin is on the corner of North Earl Street and O'Connell Street while in New York, it's located between Broadway, Fifth Avenue and 23rd Street.
Social media has shown several instances where people have exposed themselves to the other side, displayed swear words and shown pictures of terrorist attacks.
In Ireland one woman was escorted away by police for grinding against the portal, and it's not exactly the picture of a 'united world' that Lithuanian artist Benediktas Gyly had been hoping for when he came up with the idea.

He's said that 'Portals' is meant to allow people to 'meet outside of their social circles and cultures' and while lots of people have indeed been doing that, some others have been sharing rather more of themselves than is decent.
One of those on the New York side is OnlyFans model Ava Louise, who lifted up her top and flashed the portal on Sunday (12 May), claiming that her stunt forced organisers to shut the place down and tighten up security.
She later went on to explain why she'd decided to flash the portal, and while one might be assuming that the reason would be the attention and publicity such a stunt would bring, she said: "I thought the people of Dublin deserved to see two New York, homegrown potatoes."

She claims that she 'got the portal shut down' in footage she later posted that showed her boyfriend speaking with security staff.
Dublin City Council said most interactions involving the portal were positive, pointing towards examples such as a successful marriage proposal through it.
As for some of the lewder content, the council said they'd be 'implementing some technical solutions to address this'.

The Portals Organization told LADbible: "As Portals Organization, we do not intend to suggest people to interact with Portals in any particular way - our goal is to open a window between faraway places and cultures that allows people to interact freely with one another.
"We encourage people to be respectful and from our position as observers, we see that the absolute majority of experiences is on the bright side.”
