Volodymyr Zelenskyy has broken his silence on what went down during his meeting with Donald Trump ahead of Pope Francis' funeral today (26 April).
The two world leaders pulled up chairs in Saint Peter’s Basilica ahead of the two-hour service for the late pontiff, 88, after a contentious few months between the pair.
It marks the first time the duo have met since coming to verbal blows in the Oval Office eight weeks ago.

An image of Trump and the Ukrainian leader appearing to be engrossed in deep conversation was shared on social media by Andriy Yermak, who heads up Zelenskyy's office.
A White House official told Sky News the pair had a 'very productive discussion' during the brief sit down and reportedly agreed to hold further talks following the service.

Zelenskyy later shared a post on X discussing the 'good meeting' he had with the US President.
He wrote: "We discussed a lot one on one. Hoping for results on everything we covered. Protecting lives of our people.

"Full and unconditional ceasefire. Reliable and lasting peace that will prevent another war from breaking out.
"Very symbolic meeting that has potential to become historic, if we achieve joint results. Thank you @POTUS."
Zelenskyy’s spokesperson, Serhii Nykyforov, said the meeting lasted around 15 minutes.
Trump and Zelenskyy were also pictured conversing with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and France’s Emmanuel Macron at the funeral.
The US has been pressing Ukraine to accept a peace deal, which would require Kyiv to accept Russian control of vast swathes of occupied land.

Zelenskyy has insisted he will not recognise Russian sovereignty over Crimea - the region which has been occupied by Moscow’s forces since 2014 - nor continued Kremlin control in Ukraine’s south and east.
He has called for Vladimir Putin to instead accept an unconditional end to the fighting.
Trump said Zelenskyy was 'prolonging' the war by refusing to budge in a scathing post on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Earlier this week, the commander-in-chief said: "Nobody is asking Zelenskyy to recognise Crimea as Russian Territory but, if he wants Crimea, why didn’t they fight for it eleven years ago when it was handed over to Russia without a shot being fired?

"It’s inflammatory statements like Zelenskyy’s that makes it so difficult to settle this War. He has nothing to boast about! The situation for Ukraine is dire — He can have Peace or, he can fight for another three years before losing the whole Country."
Trump went on to once again suggest that Putin had been a lot easier to deal with during peace negotiations than Zelenskyy.
"I have nothing to do with Russia, but have much to do with wanting to save, on average, five thousand Russian and Ukrainian soldiers a week, who are dying for no reason whatsoever," the President continued.
"The statement made by Zelenskyy today will do nothing but prolong the 'killing field', and nobody wants that! We are very close to a Deal, but the man with 'no cards to play' should now, finally, GET IT DONE."
But it seems the pair may finally be on the right track after their chat at Pope Francis' funeral.
