People are flooding to social media in shock over 'heartbreaking' footage revealing the extent of the damage caused by the wildfires in Greece.
Wildfires have swept across the Greek islands of Corfu and Rhodes, with Crete having been placed on 'Red alert' as next to see blazes sweep through it.
Five-star hotel Lindos Imperial Resort and Spa - located on Kiotari Beach in Rhodes - well and truly felt the flames of the fire, with a video revealing the terrifying impact of the hotel being ravaged by the blaze.

The video - posted by TikTok user @k_urdo4 - shows the hotel and spa 'before and after the forest fire'.
The first clip shows families and other hotel guests sunbathing by the swimming pool, children happily splashing around.
The second clip is a stark contrast - with the pool area reduced to ashes, umbrellas reduced to stubs of metal discarded on the floor and not a holidaymaker to be seen.

People have flocked to the post to offer their support and show their concern from those currently on the island.
One TikTok user said: "Absolutely heartbreaking. Just stay safe everyone."
"This is soo sad. PRAY FOR RHODES," another commented.

A third said: "So sorry for people for Rhodes - such beautiful people sending our prayers."
And a fourth said: "Come back from here five days ago, so heartbreaking. Hope everyone is okay."
The hotel has since released a statement informing followers and guests it's now 'temporarily out of operation until further notice'.

Posted on its Instagram Story, the statement continues: "The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff are our utmost priority, and we have taken this precautionary measure to ensure everyone's safety.
"We understand that you may have personal belonging at the property, and we want to assure you that Lindos Imperial is now open to guests who want to collect their stuff.
"You are welcome to come and collect your luggage at your convenience. However, please note that the hotel will not be able to provide transfers to the property at this time."

The hotel reassured it's in 'constant communication' with local authorities and is 'closely monitoring the situation'.
"Rest assured, we are taking all necessary measures to address the situation responsibly and ensure a safe environment for everyone," it adds.
Lindos Imperial thanked followers and guests for their understanding and support and urged anyone to get in touch with the team if they have 'any concerns of need further assistance'.
The post concludes: "We will keep you informed with any updates regarding the status of Lindos Imperial and look forward to welcoming you back once the situation is resolved."
