BBC Radio 2 listeners are confused as Zoe Ball ‘vanished off air’ midway through the show this morning.
Early risers tuning in to the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show from 6.30 am were shocked to discover that the DJ appeared to disappear during her show on Monday 4th April.
Radio listeners took to Twitter to share their confusion about the seemingly unexpected departure of the DJ, with one listener reporting that Richie Anderson stepped in on the breakfast show to ‘hold the fort’.

Despite Ball's departure, the BBC Sounds website still said this morning that Zoe Ball was on the radio from 6.30 am to 9.30 am and was scheduled to chat to Nick Grimshaw, even though this appeared not to be the case.
A representative of BBC Radio 2 told LADbible: "Zoe was taken unwell during her show so headed home. Richie Anderson took over and Ken Bruce took over from Richie at 0830."
