Anderson Silva is one of the most successful names in mixed martial arts, and the athlete affectionately dubbed ‘The Spider’ has the bank balance to prove it. Up in until 2019, Silva's fights generated almost 10 million pay-per-view sales. It has been revealed that Silva will fight Jake Paul, in a move that is set to earn him even more money.
The fight will take place on October 29.
Silva revealed: "I’m training hard every day. I’m keeping my mind busy and healthy. I’m so excited."

Paul, meanwhile, admitted Silva is a "legend" that he "respects" but "he must be exterminated."

He held the UFC Middleweight Title longer than any other fighter, but isn’t without controversy over the years.
Growing up, he was raised by his aunt and uncle and learned jiu-jitsu, before going on to train in capoeira, muay thai, and taekwondo, and took up a job in McDonald’s before finding fame.
He went on to sign with UFC in 2006, and made his name with an opening knockout victory against Chris Leben. It took him just 49 seconds of the first round.
In 2010 he caused upset by taunting an opponent without engaging, and fan sided with his opponent. In 2012 he suffered serious injuries including leg fractures which needed months to heal after surgery.

He returned to the UFC in 2015 but was suspended after testing positive for illegal substances. It was the beginning of the end for Silva, who retired in 2019.
He was recently ranked #7 in the top 20 richest MMA fighters in the world. Silva has 4.4 million Instagram followers and regularly shares sponsored posts and content, including his own brand of Spider Coffee and his signature shade of yellow is everywhere. He set up his own company, Spider Kick, which has 33k followers.
