Former professional boxer Carl ‘The Cobra’ Froch has left fans baffled with his comments questioning whether the Earth is spherical.
Froch, 45 is a previous super-middleweight world champion who beat the likes of George Groves, Jean Pascal and Jermain Taylor in his heyday.
However, since retiring from his prolific boxing career in 2014, he’s had a lot to say.

He’s touched on everything from YouTuber-cum-boxing brothers Jake and Logan Paul, has recently called Anthony Joshua a ‘clown’, and has also expressed how he believes the world is flat.
In 2019, Froch accused NASA of staging the July 1969 moon landing before stating, “The Earth is flat, 100%.”
He told the Pound for Pound Podcast, “There’s no proof of the Earth’s curvature and this fake space agency NASA uses CGI images and every one is different,” he continued. “I’m looking at them thinking, ‘Hang on a minute, they’re like cartoons'.”

“When someone like Richard Branson goes up there and starts doing chartered flights… and you can look back on Earth and see the Earth’s curvature, I’ll believe the Earth is a globe.”
This isn’t the only time that Nottingham’s Froch has discussed his flat earth theory.
He later took to the Macklin’s Take podcast to discuss his views and echo his previous hunches.

“Here’s the problem,” he told host Andrew Clarke. “I’ve tried to prove - and challenge anybody listening to this - prove that the Earth is spherical. Prove that it's round. Prove that it’s actually a globe.”
Rising to the challenge, Clarke replied saying, “All I know is that when Michael Conlan was boxing in Brisbane, we left LA and flew west and 12 hours later we were in Brisbane. So I don’t see how the world can possibly be flat.”
Froch replied heatedly saying, “I could get a piece of A4 paper, write down the centre of the flat Earth - which is in the North Pole - and write down the ice wall - which is right down the south side - all the way around the circumference of the flat Earth.
“You would circumnavigate and you’d get from where you just said [LA] to where you just said [Brisbane] in the same flight path.”

Frosch then went on to end the podcast section and this line of direct questioning by saying, “Next question.”
Froch retired from boxing in 2014 after beating Groves in London. The outspoken former athlete has since gone into punditry and regularly features on sports podcasts.
