However, Fury took to Instagram earlier today to share the news that his Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) had been denied.
Paul has since responded to the news.

"My team & my partners have made it clear the steps u need to take 2 solve ur latest excuse.

One post claimed that Fury and his team had provided 'many assurances' to Paul that the former Love Islander would be able to come to the US.
"Knowing that Tommy was in California just last month, we were surprised to learn that he had an issue at Heathrow airport on Monday," the post continued.
The scheduled press conference ahead of the fight – which was set to take place on Wednesday, 29 June – has subsequently been 'postponed'.

"We are working with our partners at SHOWTIME and Madison Square Garden and will share more information as soon as we are able," Most Valuable Promotions stated.
Paul has also since updated his Twitter bio to read: "Watch me fight Timmy Fury at Madison Square Garden August 6th."
Paul and Fury's fight at Madison Square Garden has been long-awaited by boxing fans after Fury had to cancel their fight in Tampa, Florida last December due to suffering from a rib injury and chest infection.

In relation to the more recent fight, Fury told his Instagram followers his team arrived at Heathrow Airport only to be 'pulled to one side' and 'told by a Homeland Security that was there that [his] ESTA had been denied'.
Fury has claimed he's not done anything 'wrong', so subsequently had 'no clue' why he has been barred from travelling to the US.
The 23-year-old added that he and his team would be going to the embassies to try and 'resolve it'.
However, whether or not the fight will go ahead remains uncertain.
