Watch the heartwarming moment Australian newlyweds are able to see the speech from their best man after he passed away, thanks to the clever use of AI.
Nowadays when people hear the words 'artificial intelligence' we're likely to think of the horror stories associated with the futuristic tech, however there are still ways in which AI can make a positive impact on our lives.
Over the past couple of years AI technology has been used to de-age actors in films and even 'bring' people back from the dead - most notably with Kanye West creating a thoughtful hologram of his then-wife Kim Kardashian's late father.

However this technology is not only restricted to celebrities, with the family of an Australian couple utilising the tech to make a heartwarming gesture at their wedding.
Back in April, couple Zane and Eliza Galway from New South Wales, Australia tied the knot.
However Zane had experienced a devastating loss in the run up to the wedding, after his childhood friend and best man Brayden had passed away due to meningitis.

Brayden's mum was determined to make sure her son could fulfil his duties as best man on the big day.
In order to do this, she recreated her son's speech through AI and had it read out to the newlyweds, with the heartwarming moment being captured by their wedding photographer Mitch Hickman on the day.
"Hey mate, Brayden here. Just thought I would send a few words for your big day. I was to stand beside you as your best man and take the p*** as I only can," the recording began.
The speech went on to recall how Zane and Brayden had grown up together, including memories of playing sports and school and drunken antics as young adults.

Ending the speech on a tender note, the recording said: "And Eliza for you, please touch his hair ‘cause look at his dad, there’s not much there.
"I know you can’t see me, hope you’re feeling my love. Enjoy your night, your best man from above. Love you guys."
Sharing the video on social media Hickman wrote: "When your best man from above gives a speech on your wedding day thanks to AI which made this possible."

He continued: "In an incredibly touching moment, a best man who passed away too soon still got to share his words at his best friend’s wedding, thanks to a little help from AI.
"After losing him to illness, his mom made sure he could still be part of the big day."

Viewers were also brought to tears by the gesture, with one person commenting: "Now this is exactly what AI was meant to be."
