David Beckham may be one of the world's most famous athletes - and one of the richest, too - but that doesn't mean all of his meals are healthy or lavish.
In fact, one of his favourite meals is extremely basic - and a little odd, to some.
The 47-year-old shared a snap of the 'feast' on Instagram, which was cooked courtesy of his mum.

Captioning the post, he wrote: "Last night's feast one of my favourites growing up. Thanks mum.
"Gammon, chips, fried egg, tinned pineapple, peas & baked beans, coleslaw."
But while Becks may love this dish from his youth, many of his 75 million followers were less impressed.

"Coleslaw and mushy peas? Has everyone gone berserk?" one person wrote.
Another added: "Pineapple does not belong on a main meal."
However, others insisted it was a 'perfectly acceptable dinner', which I suppose is hard to argue with. If David Beckham wants to eat gammon, chips, fried egg, tinned pineapple, peas, baked beans and coleslaw, then he bloody well can.

And to be fair to Becks, he is big into his food and often eats a variety of different cuisines and dishes - unlike his wife.
Speaking on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast earlier this year, former England captain Beckham revealed that Victoria has been scranning the same meal for the past quarter of a century.
"I get quite emotional about food and wine, when I'm eating something great I want everyone to try it," he explained.
"Unfortunately I'm married to someone that has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years.

"Since I met her she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables, she will very rarely deviate from that."
Ah well, at least it isn't Maccies, I suppose.
He continued: "The only time she's probably ever shared something that's been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper and it was the most amazing thing.
"It was one of my favourite evenings. I can't remember what it was but I know she's not eaten it since."

Given their differing diets, Golden Balls makes the most of the occasions when she isn't around.
Indeed, he admitted he made himself one of the best meals he'd had in ages when he had the house to himself.
He recalled: "Pretty recently I was in isolation for five days because I'd just been to Italy so I came back and on one of the last days Victoria's parents had a party and I couldn't actually go to it. So everyone was out of the house and I secretly loved it.
"I literally had two of the most amazing cuts of meat. One was a T-bone and I had some English wagyu, I poured one glass of the most amazing red wine that I treated myself to because I was on my own looking forward to watching the football in the afternoon on my own. So I set the barbecue up."
Damn, Becks knows how to spend an afternoon.
