The family of a high school wrestler are looking to press charges after his opponent punched him in the face after losing the match.
The brutal suckerpunch took place at River Forest High School in Illinois, where the two opponents were taking part in a youth wrestling competition.
Footage from the scene shows how one of the wrestlers, dressed in orange, took the win as he pinned his opponent - wearing blue - to the floor of the gym.

With the whistle blown, the winner got up off the ground and headed back into the centre of the floor, ready to respectfully bring things to a close by shaking his opponent's hand.
The boy in blue looked to oblige at first as he held out his hand, but out of nowhere he unleashed his anger by punching the winner square in the face.
The move caused an outcry in the gym and the boy responsible was quickly led away, after which police were called to the scene.

According to Fox 32, officers spoke with the victim and his parents along with the offender and the offender's parents.
The boy in orange suffered a bloody nose in the incident, but his parents didn't deem it serious enough to have an ambulance respond to the scene.
However, they did wish to have the incident documented, and though they didn't want to press charges at the time one of the parents contacted police in the aftermath of the incident and said they did want to pursue criminal charges after all.

After watching the scene unfold, another person wrote: "What happened to Sportsmanship and the Spirit of Competition?"
A third added: "Sucker punching is the most Coward move I have ever known. Punch and Run away. Shows that Blue kid is really weak In match and a Real fight."

Other viewers suggested the boy responsible for the punch should be banned or disqualified from the sport, with one writing: "What a disgrace. He should be banned."
Another commented: "That should have disqualified him from any place in the tournament."
No charges have yet been filed in the case, but Oak Park police are continuing to look into the incident.
