A TikTok influencer has left people disgusted after posting a video where her toilet seat was put in the dishwasher alongside plates, mugs and glasses.
You can see all sorts of things on TikTok that will give you the ick but there's nothing quite like watching someone remove their toilet seat and put it in the dishwasher to be cleaned in the same water as the cutlery. Enjoy:
While plenty of studies have found there are many other things we keep around which are significantly dirtier than our toilet seats there's still something incredibly yucky about it all.

Although we're told that our watches and smartphones are several magnitudes dirtier than a toilet seat there's just something plain wrong about putting the thing we stick our bums on into the dishwasher.
Then you've got to contend with the sort of things the toilet seat comes into contact with that you wouldn't want mixing with your dishes, as they apparently get covered in a 'faecal fountain' each time you flush the loo.
That didn't deter TikToker @alisonkoroly, who posted a video showing what appears to be her husband removing their toilet seat and sticking it into the dishwasher.

Luckily they didn't actually give it a clean in there as Alison told the New York Post anyone worried she was going to wash her toilet seat in the same water as her plates and cutlery could relax, the video was just a joke.
Koroly explained that she makes 'comedy sketches and short films' along with her husband and she's trying to 'create entertaining content that people would laugh at and find fun and funny, and lighthearted'.
That wasn't really the response she got from many of the two million people who saw her TikTok and decided to leave a comment.
People who were disgusted by what they saw slammed the video as 'absolutely foul' and said they didn't want 'caca in my dishwasher'.

Another person said she 'may as well just wash the dishes in the toilet bowl' and there were plenty more who couldn't wait to express their clear disgust at the video, joke or not.
Others joined in with the joking, with one quipping that they 'put my dishes in the toilet and flush' as it was a 'much faster' way of cleaning them up.
Someone else said the video had convinced them they were 'never buying a second hand dishwasher' as they didn't know what the previous owner had stuck in it previously.

A couple of others skipped past the entire disgusting debate entirely and wanted to know what brand of toilet seat could be so easily removed as they thought it would be 'so much easier to clean detached'.
