Man will need 'new identity' after Turkish surgery leaves him looking like a completely different person

He looks totally different...

People reckon that a bloke will need a new identity after a Turkish surgery claimed he visited them and shared a series of 'before' and 'after' photos where he looked completely different.

There's always got to be an element of caution when going for cosmetic surgery as you might come out looking like you tumbled down the uncanny valley.

Lots who've had their appearance drastically changed have come to regret it.

Beware the cautionary tale of the woman who had her buttocks amputated after something she was injected with started leaking.

You should also be extra careful that wherever you're going under the knife is actually a place with proper medical credentials.

You don't want to end up like the bloke who died when he went in for 'penis enlargement surgery' but the cosmetic surgeon turned out to be bogus, leaving the man to die of sepsis after seven months of agonising penile pain.

However, some people who go in for surgery do end up seeming quite pleased with their transformations.

Among their number might be a man whose 'before' and 'after' pictures were shared by Turkish plastic surgery clinic @esteistanbultr.

He looked completely different between the two images as the clinic said he'd had rhinoplasty, lower eyelid rejuvenation and jawline correction treatments.

He does appear to be dramatically different in appearance, though of course the 'before' and 'after' pictures seem to be taken at a slightly different level of focus and lighting which may change how he looks as well.

Still, there's no doubting that even his own mother would struggle to recognise him, and if there are any assassins hunting him down he'd easily be able to evade their notice by getting them to mistake him for someone else.

People who've seen the transformation joked he needs a 'new identity' since he looks so different, while others were sceptical that what they were seeing was a genuine transformation.

"Was he trying to change his identity and hide from authorities?" someone else asked of the man's facial transformation.

Others praised the change and said they thought the guy 'looks happy', so here's hoping he is.

Such a dramatic change can certainly cause problems as people struggle to recognise you at times.

One woman who had major plastic surgery could no longer unlock her phone after it wouldn't register her facial scans as her any longer.

Some surgeries also sound rather painful, as there's a leg-lengthening treatment which can make you taller but a woman who got it done said she'd come to regret going through with it.
