A man's 'optical illusion' tattoo looks like he has a massive hole in his bald head.
One particularly skilled tattoo artist based in the States really took his inking skills to the next level after creating an incredible optical illusion piece, making it look like there is a massive gaping hole in his client's head.
Matt Pehrson, who works at the Zion Tattoo Company in St George, Utah, sent the internet into a total frenzy after sharing with his 63k Instagram followers his wonderful - yet very weird - work.

Matt went viral a couple years back after going to new extremes inking a magnificent optical illusion tattoo on his friend, Ryan.
He inked a series of thick lines on Ryan's bald head, twisting inwards to the back of his skull.
Then, with some clever shading tricks, Matt created an eye-catching illusion to make it look like Ryan had a massive cavernous hole in the back of his head.

He uploaded snaps of his work to Instagram back in April 2020 with the caption: "Did a crazy thing on my friend Ryan today...
"We have a lot left to finish on his dome."
The post has since clocked up over 12k likes with heaps of people eager to share their reactions to the bonkers body art.
One Instagram user wrote: "Literally looks like he has a hole in the back of his head holy s*** good job."

A second penned: "This is the most insane optical illusion."
"This is the most unbelievable tat I think I’ve ever seen," revealed a third.
A couple years later in July 2022, Matt finally uploaded an up-close-and-personal video showing the optical illusion design in all its jarring glory.

The video also shows the precise moment the mind-boggling illusion breaks.
He captioned the short clip: "There were a ton of requests for me to post a video of this tattoo when I did it last year. I didn’t do it because people are stupid.
"They wanted to see it at an angle that didn’t have the illusion so they could be critical. Of course the tattoo only looks 'perfect' at a limited viewing angle.

"Still looks like a rad tattoo from other angles, it just doesn’t make your tummy hurt."
Matt added: "I had so many comments that this tattoo made people sick. I laughed at every one. Have a good day."
It's clear, however, that even with the video, people were more than impressed.
"Forced perspective is hard enough on a canvas, never mind a human head! DUDE. You should get an award for this!" offered a final Instagram user.
Talk about a brain teaser.
